When? When? When?
We went to the doctor today! Good news- I'm almost at 4! I'm still not having contractions, so no need to go to the hospital yet. I'm excited that I haven't had to experience pain yet. We put together the stroller tonight and moved in the rocking chair. We're just waiting and chilling out this weekend.

The Waiting Game
Today I went to the doctor and found out I am almost to two! No contractions yet though. He told me I wouldn't make it to my due date and to make sure the car is ready. He gave me a great report- good blood pressure and my swelling is down- so I lost two pounds. All good news!
I ordered a necklace tonight that I love. It will look something like this. I can't wait to get it in! It's from Box Turtle in Little Rock- shopboxturtle.com

All Our Bags are Packed
We are all packed up and ready to go just in case Luke decides to arrive a little early. I go to the doctor on Wednesday, so maybe I'll have a better idea then. No contractions so I don't think it will be extremely soon.
Everything is pretty much ready. I worked this weekend on washing some newborn outfits and all of his blankets, cloths, etc... I was hoping to pick up the rocker today, but the rain cancelled those plans. I plan to pick it up early this week and the curtains for his room should be done soon too. I'll post a picture of the almost final product when those two items arrive.

A Huge Blessing
Today was an amazing day! I was blessed by my new friends at GCT. The specialty area teachers hosted a breakfast shower for Luke this
morning! The food was great and the gifts were perfect. We got lots of things that we needed and of course cute little baby things too! The top picture is a quilt the fourth grade teachers had made for Luke. It matches his room perfectly. The second picture shows the goodies. My stepmother, who also works at the school, made the centerpiece- isn't it cute? And the last picture is of the girls I work with everyday! I am thankful to everyone for being so kind to us!

Latest Appointment
On Friday, Brock and I went in for a checkup. Everything is looking good- the doctor said the baby's growth is on track. I was given strict instructions to watch my sodium intake because of swelling, but everything else was good news. I go back in a week and a half!
A Great Find
I found a great website- lovelystitches.com You can design your own diaper bags, totes, bibs, etc... I love monogrammed things and everything can be personalized! I just placed my order for Luke's diaper bag and changing pad. Here's what the bag should look like:

32 Weeks
Yesterday, I went to the doctor for our 32 week appointment. Overall, I got a good report. I've started to swell a little in my feet and hands. My doctor said to watch my sodium intake carefully. Thankfully, no other problems. My mother-in-law, Paige, got to hear Little Luke's heartbeat for the first time at this appointment.
Luke is growing like crazy, therefore, I am too! His movements are getting stronger and more frequent. It is amazing to see and feel all of the movements.

Interesting, scary, funny, all of the above...
Today was a big day- childbirth class! We opted for the all day class instead of the multiple night option. Our teacher was great. She was very funny and very approachable. We learned a lot and I'm glad to have learned MOST of what was said! I think ignorance would have been a better option on some bits of information! We got to see a room and tour the maternity ward. I feel really good about using NEA. It's crazy, but we will be there in about two months.

Sugar Test Results
Today I got a call from Dr. Delacey's nurse. My sugar test came back looking good- Praise the Lord!!! However, my iron count is low. I learned at my doctor's appointment that it is very important for your iron count to be good when you deliver the baby to prevent blood transfusions. So easy fix- I'll start taking an iron supplement in the morning and continue my regular vitamins at night.
Too Cute Artwork
I am sooo excited! Jamie McIlvoy painted these pieces for Luke's room! She is super talented! I am very blessed to have a friend who is very creative and generous! I can't wait to hang them.

Luke Purcell Wooldridge
It's official- the baby's name is Luke! We're using Brock's middle name as Luke's middle name. I'm very pleased especially since it's the name I was stuck on!
Another exciting event- we have childcare! I have been worried about who would keep the baby when I go back to work after Christmas. I really wanted to avoid daycare till the next school year begins. I talked to quite a few people to get names of people who keep and advice- what a hard decision to make! God answered my prayer with Angie Todd Branch. It's so funny how we played together when we were little and now our babies will play together each day! Even more ironic is her son's name is Brock! I am so excited how everything worked out and am so glad that major decision is done!
A Work in Progress
Here are some pictures of the baby's room. The furniture minus a rocker is all ready. We are decorating using a nautical theme. The bedding is in, but I am waiting to dress the bed till later so it will not get dusty. Neely and I found a mattress, which was an experience! Lots of help is going into his room! I am most likely going to have the rocker my mom used for me recovered. My mom has spent endless hours walking around stores for me to find the right items. Jamie McIlvoy is painting the artwork- can't wait to see them! My cousin, Sheree', is making a quote for above the double windows. A lady I taught with at Rector, Leisa Wesley, came up with the quote- "May your joys be as deep as the ocean and your sorrows as light as its foam." My aunt Rhonda arranged the furniture and gave me guidance on what to do in the room. Susan Hurt is going to make the curtains, which will be red. So... what's left is... rug, rocker, hanging artwork and curtains, organizing the shelves, dressing both beds, finish cleaning out the closet (I have no idea where the rest of my clothes are going to go), and I'm sure lots of other things that I will think of.
The Sugar Test
Hi Everyone! I've finally returned to the blogging world. On Friday, I had my sugar test done. I had heard horrible things about the taste, so I was dreading it. To my surprise- it tasted pretty good- like orange soda from McDonald's. It got a little hard to drink at the end and I got an almost instant headache. Overall though- MUCH better than I had anticipated. I will know the results tomorrow, but the nurse said she thought they would be fine. Great doctor's appointment- I didn't gain too much weight unlike last time, blood pressure is good, and growth is on track. I'm very thankful for a healthy pregnancy.
