Today we went to Kaut and Linda's for a swim.  It was Luke's first time in a pool.  He loved it and we did too!  He was very laid back the whole time.  I can't wait to take him back.

Kallie came over for a cookout last night.  It was so neat to watch them interact.  This was their first time to play together!

Wooldridge World Records

 

 

This week has been very busy! Luke set two records this week. One on Tuesday- He didn't sleep from the time he woke up until he went to bed- 14 hours and twenty minutes.  The top picture shows him at 6:00 p.m. fighting sleep like a champ.  Amazingly- he was super happy most of the day.  Today- on the total opposite end of the spectrum- has been the day he has slept the most in his whole life!  Eleven hours and nine minutes of sleep last night- best ever and two- two hour naps today!  

Lily came over this week to see Luke twice.  She brought us an angel that she painted in church while learning about Loving Neighbors.  She is going to be Luke's babysitter when she gets tall- which she said will be when she is twelve.  Too cute!

Luke started oatmeal on Wednesday.  He is loving it!  We have been giving him asthma breathing treatments for the past week and a half.  It really seems to help his wheezing.  I am very thankful.  

He is starting to talk lots!  Luke is making all of the vowel sounds along with b,m, and h.  He is now combining sounds.  I think it is so neat that he is making these sounds because in the phonics program I teach at school- I teach kids the sounds in order of most commonly used- they are a, t, s, m, b, and f.  And... three of these sounds are the ones he is making!  

And... he tried drinking out of a sippy cup tonight.  He needed help, but drank a little out of it.  

Seven Months Old

Seven Months Old!

At seven months old, Luke is...

- sitting up very well on his own

- eating lots of baby food

- sleeping great at night

- taking one good day nap

- smiling, talking, and laughing lots

- recognizing a bottle and a baby food container

- turning and looking when someone speaks

- very busy

- pulling, picking, pushing, and chewing everything

- getting close to crawling

- able to roll over in all directions

- LOVING his exersaucer

He still doesn't have any teeth and today at the doctor he weighed 19 pounds and 10 ounces!

Poor Baby

Yesterday, Luke was in the floor playing. He leaned forward and then fell forward. When that happened, he bumped his head hard on the corner of our desk. It swelled up immediately and looked horrible. But, as of today, the bruise is looking much better!

A New Toy

Luke played with a new toy today. It was a hit! Not much stacking went on, but he loved playing with it!

Tonight our friends had a shower for Meredith and Scott. Drew and Blake will be here in June! We had a great time eating bbq and visiting with friends.
