Tons of Firsts

We have started Luke on some table food. Yesterday, he had my grandmother's purple hull peas! We are just giving him a little of what we are eating. Today, we bought some Gerber Puffs. When we got home, I gave them to him. He had a rough time getting them to his mouth. Most of them stayed in his palm. He loved them though! This was also the first time for Luke to sit in the high chair Brock's grandparents gave him. I love it! Note: The pointed fingers- He is doing this all of the time and it cracks me up. The other day I woke him up from a nap and his finger was pointing as if saying, "Just one more minute."

My Little Night Owl

This is Baby Luke at 10:30 p.m. tonight. He is usually asleep at least by 9:30. Not tonight! I think he just might get a tooth tomorrow- so that might have caused it. He was cracking me up- he would go from me to my mom- back and forth just laughing away! He really paid attention to the phone tonight- he could hear Kate getting her bath.

Luke's shirt says, "My Uncle Rocks!" It couldn't be more true! We are so thankful for him.

Eat, Drink, Cook, and Read

My mom bought Luke some YoBaby yogurt today. He loved it!

We are trying a new sippy cup. He is still more into chewing it than drinking out of it.

Today, I canned tomato juice! While I worked, Luke was busy cooking too.

My mom also got Luke this devotional book. I am so excited for him to have it.

I think very soon he will have his first tooth. You can see two teeth just on the verge of appearing.

We had a HUGE day yesterday. We went to Little Rock to see KATE! Pictures will be coming soon.

Aunt Hayley

Last night, we went to my dad's for a great dinner! Luke got lots of love from everybody. My sister, Hayley, got him his first Hard Rock shirt. It is just too cute.

Nine Months Old!!!

Baby Luke is now nine months old! Here's what he is up to...

~ Luke weighs 21 pounds and 4 ounces

~ He is wearing 12 month clothes

~ He is CRAWLING

~ He moved up to a new car seat

~ Luke has started going to the nursery at church

~ He pulled up to a stand for the first time

~ He is responding to no- which is now being said quite a bit due to the above

~ He is saying hi, bye, and hey lots.

~ Luke clearly said, "Da-da."

~ He waves hi and bye- it is sooo cute.

~ He gives kisses now.

~ We are getting to try going off of the breathing treatments.

~ He takes a great morning nap- about an hour and a half- two hours.

~ His afternoon nap is usually after his five o'clock feeding. It usually lasts an hour.

~ Luke is eating lots of baby food, but is now starting to have some table food.

~ He crawls everywhere- especially crawl chases Peddler.

~ Bedtime is between nine and 9:30 and he wakes up around 6:30-7.

~ He is sooo sweet and cute.

On the Move!

On July 9, our little boy started crawling! We were at Gulf Shores and had just come in from lunch. I placed Luke in the floor and was busy folding clothes on the bed. All of the sudden, Luke was right there. I thought he made it there pretty quickly. So I placed an object out and he took seven crawls. Now that we are home- he is crawling everywhere!
